It’s fun to be in the news, especially when it is for something good! This past week Great Expectations Birth’s founder and Coppell doula was asked a few questions by her local newspaper about what exactly a doula does and what her 
life looks like in her non-traditional job. The article features Maria answering a few fun questions about working with pregnant women as well as some serious answers about the most important aspects of the doula job. We think Maria did a great job explaining what doulas do, why the support they offer is so important and even sharing some of the interesting things that happen when doulas are at labors. Another one of Great Expectations members, Maryn Taylor – placenta specialist, was recently interviewed and quoted several times by DFW Child Magazine in their feature article about placenta encapsulation. You can read what Maryn had to say in the DFW Child article as she discusses our placenta services as well as the overall benefits of placenta encapsulation for women after they give birth. On TV as Well
While our faces were not actually on the evening news, we were proud to see one of our placenta clients featured on Channel Five talking about her experience using our services to have her placenta encapsulated. She shared how great she felt after having her baby and attributes it to her placenta pills. We appreciate all the kind words and she did an amazing job sharing the very personal benefits of placenta encapsulation. We think her face is beautiful as well as her heart and we love that they choose her to share her story.
